Feliz trails, Pete.

Well Happy Pete has left the Gigantes for a two year deal. What happened to that required third year I haven't found out yet but the fact that he signs with the Phillies for a contract that looks basically the same as offered by the Giants seems like Pete was making a statement. Almost like he said "take that" to Sabes and the boys. And I don't get it. What would make Pedro Feliz think he is deserving of a third year? What has he done to stand out? He stands out in my mind as the popping outest, swingingest infielder I've seen since a young Matt Williams before he found his groove or at least a vitamin B-12 infused Red Bull. Good riddance Pedro. I feel like I just said goodbye to that annoying cousin who knows that just because he has all the official G.I. Joe action figures and not the cheap knockoffs you get at the dollar store, that somehow I need him. What do you have that I don't? Why cant my blue "LizardEyes" have to take a backseat to your official Snake Eyes? He might be just as bad ass! What does losing Pedro do to hurt the Giants? Yea, he's a slick fielder but in these days of offense, offense and more offense, keeping Pete is like inviting your junior high basketball coach to come play at the park with your boys. You know he's gonna be wearing those knee high tube socks and waiting for the rest of the team to run that four corner offense of holding the ball as long as possible before scoring. Goodbye Pete! You ingrate. I'll admit, I wasn't totally against you coming back, after all, with you at third and with a good young pitching staff our strength was gonna be pitching and defense. Now with you gone its pitching and some decent defense. Of course you know the Giants didnt see this coming otherwise they would have announced that Frandsen or whoever was gonna be at 3B and not waited this long to deal with Pete. They thought that by waiting till all the other 3bers were off the market, Pete would come back with his head between his legs. Now what Sabes? Pete signed that deal to spite the Giants. Of course, Giants fans know deep down that this now makes a trade of LinceCain almost inevitable again. After this Sabean will start getting twitchy. I do the same thing around 10:30 and I haven't had a diet Pepsi yet. I start to think. Theres still talk of a Crede trade so you know what the Sox are gonna ask for. It's inevitable. Because I want it. I want a team with great young pitchers. With Barry Zito the third or fourth starter. Just to remind us every third day what baffoons are running the Giants. Days one and two will be those days we feel optimitic. Lowry at the four or three spot will be my rootin day since I've been a Lowry guy all along and day five will be our wait and see day. WTF. I'm not right today. I'm all over the place. I'm just glad Pete's gone.
