......I'm not here to talk about the past.

Far be it for me to judge. Who the hell am I? What right do I have to cast stones? Blah blah and so on so here I go.
Is it me or does anyone else think Roger Clemens is full of shit? Of course it could be HGH or roids but it sure does smell like shit to me. Normally I could care less about it but this phone taping deal has me a twitter. Imagine this. Clemens and Petite, close as a pair of Montana cowboys in the high country, working and sweating manly sweat with each other. Watching each other pump and lift, pump and lift. "Nice pecs Rog, what are you doing to get that mass? I can't seem to bulk up." "Well Andrew, bend over and I'll show you." Now the conversation probably didn't go quite like this but I bet it was close. So Roger used steroids. Big freakin deal. Who doesn't? I did and all it did was swell my fingers. I still type at 27 words per minute. That would have been the end of the story as far as I was concerned. Pettite confirmed McNamee's story. Nobody's talking about him now. Fernando Vina and F.P. Santangelo among others came clean to give some credibility to the Mitchell Report. End of story for those two. Roger secretly tapes his ex-buddy saying nothing to prove that Clemens didn't take HGH. Roger never said, "Your a liar! Tell the truth." Clemens, if you listen again, was ambiguous. MacNamee asked, "what do you want me to do?" Rogers response? Listen again and see. You can tell Clemens was VERY careful what he said. Not because he would tip off that he was taping the call, but because he didn't want MacNamee to blurt out anything more damaging. Clemens apologists claim Mac is lying. I say why? What motive would he have to? He already named a big name in Pettite and that was accurate. Why risk jail time by lying and naming Clemens who you KNOW is gonna be pissed!!! And what about the rest of the call? Why can't we hear that also??? I want to hear it all. And as for Clemens filing a lawsuit, isn't this a convenient time to do this? After all, how will he be able to testify when he has a case pending? When the Rocket goes to Washington, be prepared for a whole lot of ".....because of my pending lawsuit, I am unable to answer that question." It might not be as entertaining as "....I'm not here to talk about the past" or ".......no comprende." To me this is the exact stunt pulled by Raphael Palmeiro. It's Rogers way of pointing his finger defiantly and saying, " I did not use steroids." Of course the only difference is, Clemens is using a different finger.
