San Francisco Giants.......2009!

This should tell you alot when I'm looking ahead to next year and the Giants are only into their second game of PRESEASON! There are some interesting names on the list. Carl Crawford and Hank Blalock caught my eye but do the Giants have any shot at them? I think a more likely course for this team should be to wait for Durham to get off to a hot start (its his contract year) and trade him to a contender for hitting prospects. Of course it would be easier if the Giants could do the same with Dave Roberts and Omar but thats not gonna happen. The Giants are in a hole and its gonna get ugly. Uglier. Britney Spears in the morning with no make up or frapachino ugly. Does anyone remember a time when the Giants had a farm system that was a top rated one??? Even the ones in the late 80's (Clark, Thompson etc.) was criticized for not producing pitchers. What is it that the A's do that we can't? Guillermo Frijole can't be that much smarter than Sabean right?

In anycase, I'm sitting here with my cheetos and Fresca waiting for the game. Lincecum on the mound. Somebody at third. Frandsen at second. My man Ortmeier at first. Baseball is back!
